Maniharan Tunnel - A peep into the Spiritual World!
The Maniharan tunnel is situated 5 kms. from Bhubaneshwar temple. Just beneath this tunnel flows the holy river Tribeni. A temple dedicated to Lord Krishna stands amidst the tunnel premises. Bhuvan hill is 5 kms. from this place while distance from Silchar road to the Maniharan temple is about 3 kms.Just above the tunnel, there is another small temple with idols of Lord Rama, Lakshmana, Garura and Hanuman. Devotees throng to this temple everyday for prayer.
Festivals celebrated here include Holy festival, Baruni, Diljatra and Shivaratri. The Maniharan temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. Maniharan temple is located towards the North of Bhuvaneshwar temple.A fun-fair is also held here on the grounds of the temple during Holi festival - festival of colours, also known as Dol Purnima. During the festival, devotees visit the temple coming all the way from neighbouring districts.
